Color History

I work with color every day

As a Color Consultant, I work with you to see your space objectively – what’s going on regarding light and existing elements, and subjectively – how you want your space to look and feel.

I use my expertise and background to get you from “I want it to feel warm but not yellow” to the perfect anchor, backdrop, standout, or foil for your environment.

I bring 25+ years of expertise to your home

  • As a fine art painter with a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and a Bachelors in Art and Art History I analyze color relationships and use my color sense in my painting studio. I’ve exhibited internationally and been awarded fellowships at the Skowhegan School in Maine and at The Vermont Studio Center.

  • As the Charge Scenic Artist in the Theater Department at The University of Massachusetts I worked one on one with professional set designers including Mac Arthur Fellow Mimi Lien. I listened and collaborated, transforming designers’ notes, drawings and samples into a wide variety of finishes.

  • As an art educator at the primary, college and adult levels I’ve communicated effectively and developed projects that allow students to engage with art content while following their creativity.
