We cannot recommend the experience of working with Barbara highly enough!

While obviously knowledgeable and competent in her field, Barbara is extremely approachable and sees her role as that of a guide rather than an all-knowing "expert." Her intuitive feel for color and flow helped create a harmonious atmosphere throughout the house.

She is genuinely concerned that her clients are happy with their results and even circled back with us after our consultations were officially concluded to "triple-check" the shade for our kitchen cabinets. The final tweak to the cabinet color has yielded countless admiring compliments!

When we first reached out to Barbara for her help with a full-house interior paint job, we were under tremendous time pressure. Our house had flooded and required repainting as part of the repair. Because of our contractor’s timeline and the demands of a baby, we worried that our project with Barbara would feel rushed and our choices would reflect that. With so many color options it’s easy to become overwhelmed.

From the beginning, however, Barbara eased any concerns. Despite her busy schedule, she immediately made time for us simplifying the project into a very manageable, intuitive, and fun process. She also did quite a bit of face time with our contractors — both on-site and via teleconference — ensuring the quality and overall success of our project. We still go into the rooms in our home and marvel at the details she got right.

Her extraordinary ability to bring a color alive with a trim selection, for example. I really can’t say enough good things about working with Barbara. We have worked with other colorists in the area. Barbara is simply the best.

Barbara chose the colors for my bedroom and living room. Both rooms had poor lighting. Barbara was able to bring the rooms to life. She found colors which emanated their own light. In the bedroom her colors choices included the ceiling, not only trim and walls. She was after a velvety quality. The result is so soothing and peaceful that I feel like I'm in a cloud. In the living room she picked vivid, deep colors which embolden the room with their intensity. I feel happy and cool when I enter this room. Somehow it always feels clean.

She is very knowledgeable, but also has a keen intuition about how the flow of the colors will work from space to space in your home.

Barbara also seems to know when to take a risk on a certain kind of color you might not have thought of, but also knows when to keep things simple, and allow the colors to be the perfect, subtle backdrop.

We spent a lovely morning with Barbara. The interior of our house has always been white. I am ready for color but didn’t know where to start or how to get colors to flow from one room to another.
