Color is personal

During our initial visit in your space, I ask questions and I listen. I get to know you and your tastes. I take in all of the elements and get a good sense of how you want your space to look and feel. We’ll look at images that you are drawn to and objects such as textiles and decor that reflect your tastes. We may even talk about your favorite books and films.

We will identify your custom color palette

Color is relative and it can be a trickster as it interacts with light and with the elements which surround it. I am attuned to the nuance of color and light, and understand how color’s hidden attributes function in your environment.

I bring samples to your home. You’ll get to experience how color options interact in your space, and you’ll try on colors for your home before you commit. Your consultation includes color samples painted onto the walls to see how the color is reading in your space. You’ll have the opportunity to “live with” the colors for a few days—checking out the swatches and colors we’ve selected at different times of day and in different lighting conditions. With an additional baseline palette of large swatches in my toolbox, I help you envision how the color feels as you live with it in real time.

Getting the color right in your home is a good investment

Paint and labor costs time and money, and preparing your space for painting can be disruptive. Allow me to help you streamline the (sometimes overwhelming) process of choosing color.
